MMA Training for Lafayette, CO Residents

The complete fight game, led by a former professional MMA fighter, with all three foundation arts (Muay Thai, BJJ, wrestling) taught by specialist coaches. 15 minutes south of Lafayette.

Real MMA Training Just 15 Minutes from Lafayette

There is no serious MMA gym in Lafayette. There are gyms that offer one or two of the foundation arts (mostly BJJ), but real MMA training, meaning specialist coaching in Muay Thai, BJJ, and wrestling that integrates into one fighting system, doesn't exist closer to home for Lafayette residents. The closest gym that offers this depth is Limitless Combat Academy in Broomfield, 15 minutes south on US-287.

Most gyms claiming to teach "MMA" run a single class where they try to teach striking and grappling at the same time. The result is usually fighters who are mediocre at both rather than competent at either. Limitless is structured differently, every foundation art is taught by a specialist coach, then integrated through dedicated MMA classes. For Lafayette residents serious about MMA, this is where it happens.

Led by a Former Professional MMA Fighter

Kru Ali Hanjani spent six years in professional MMA from 2010 to 2016, including a championship title under Sensei Benjamin Schissler. He didn't learn MMA from a coaching certification course; he learned it by living it. That experience informs every aspect of our MMA program, from cage-specific scenarios to fight-camp preparation to integration training between disciplines.

All Three Foundation Arts, All Specialized

Our MMA students train Muay Thai under Kru Ali (Serial Boxe lineage), BJJ under coaches in the Shokunin BJJ Association lineage, and wrestling under Coach Josh DeSherlia, a collegiate All-American. Then we put it all together in dedicated MMA classes, takedowns off strikes, ground-and-pound defense, scrambles, transitions. No generalist teaching everything badly. Real specialists building real fighters.

What to Expect

Foundation arts first

Most MMA students train Muay Thai, BJJ, and wrestling as separate disciplines before integration starts to make sense. We'll help you figure out which order makes sense for your goals.

Dedicated MMA classes

Integration sessions focused specifically on transitions, striking to clinch, clinch to takedown, takedown to ground, ground to escape. The seams between arts where real MMA happens.

Sparring is gradual

You won't spar on day one, or in your first month. Sparring is introduced once you have the fundamentals to use it productively, and even then, intensity is matched to your goals.

Fight-camp packages available

For students preparing for amateur or pro competition, we offer intensive 612-week fight-camp packages combining group training with private coaching.

Why Lafayette MMA Students Train at Limitless

The only nearby gym with this depth

For Lafayette residents, Limitless is the only academy within a reasonable drive that offers specialist coaching in all three MMA foundation arts. Everything closer to home falls short on at least one discipline, which means fighters trained there have gaps in their game.

A pro fighter actually teaching

There's a difference between coaches who've watched a lot of MMA and coaches who've actually competed at the professional level. Kru Ali falls into the latter category, and that experience shows up in every detail of how our MMA program is structured.

Realistic time commitment honesty

MMA is more time-intensive than any single discipline. We're upfront about that. Most serious MMA students train 4-6 times per week. If your schedule doesn't support that, we'll help you pick a single art and go deep, which is often the better choice.

Sustainable routing from Lafayette

Most MMA students at Limitless train multiple programs per week. The 15-minute drive down US-287 makes this sustainable, far more so than trying to drive into Denver or out to another metro area for specialist coaching.

Our Coaches

The depth of coaching at Limitless is what sets us apart:

Kru Ali Hanjani: Former pro MMA fighter. Muay Thai under Serial Boxe lineage.

Coach Josh DeSherlia: Collegiate All-American wrestler. 20+ years coaching.

Coach Mark Kondenko: Exercise Physiology (CU Boulder). Multi-time BJJ medalist.

Coach Rachel Fiddes: Active Muay Thai competitor. Leads women's training.
